Good-bye February! {a picture filled recap}

Is anyone else reeling from the fact that we are already headed into March??  I totally sound like a broken record here, but seriously.  Head.  Spinning.  Time hath no mercy!

There's nothing really new to report, so here's a quick recap of what our month here looked like:

~Reunited friends.

There is nothing so sweet and silly as girls and their friends.  This friend had moved into the ward for a brief summer, and Megan finally had a kindred spirit in Young Women's.  They didn't hang out a ton, but theirs was an easy friendship.  They ended up being roommates at Oakcrest girl's camp and that sealed it.  Friends for life.

Sadly, she moved back to St. George with her family when summer ended, and not much contact was had.  But, promises had been made that they would go back to Oakcrest for the 2nd year, and as luck would have it, the timing worked out and our friend was able to come up and attend the kick off meeting with Megan {who was in heaven}!  It was so heart-warming to see the ease with which they fell into giggling and silliness, and they will have a blast this summer.  We wish they lived closer.

~Jr. Jazz

We had another fun-filled season of Jr. Jazz Basketball for Max.  His team wasn't the most aggressive team, but he shone, and has mastered the crossover move his brother taught him.  Probably the best part of Jr. Jazz for me is watching Bryson practice with Max.  One of the cutest things ever.

~ Valentine's Day

Luckily, only one of the kids had to make a Valentine's box for school.  Inspired by our halloween car, we built this one for Max.

~Boys being boys

It was fun having Bryson's friends over a little more.  Boys are definitely different creatures than girls, but still extremely fun to listen to and enjoy.

~Braces

Just on the bottom.  But the rest go on next week! {she's probably going to kill me for posting this picture}

~John in Canada for a business trip

Quebec trip 2-2013

He's so handsome, I can barely stand it!  It was a quick trip, but successful, and he got to see the ice festival while he was there.

We had first dates, haircuts,  reorganization, along with all of the regular ups and downs.  A lot was crammed into this short little month.  I'm glad that it's over so we can be just that much closer to spring!

Our spring will be filled with building Draw Collars, yard prep, hopefully a quick getaway, and spray paint.

What will yours hold?

Comments

I want a getaway. Even a quick one. :) Fun pictures to see. Love you!

What beautiful faces!--made all the more sweet by the fact that they're so close. Since second grade, my younger daughter's best-ever friend has been a boy who is just like her: super imaginative and gentle-hearted! But he moved to Idaho, then Utah. They still skype often (a session is planned for tomorrow.) Such a happy thing when our children connect with friends who love them to bits, even/especially long distance . . .

Also hate the V-day box projects. Like homework isn't enough to do. Love the pics! I'm glad Megan has a good friend. I'm starting to get used to the teenage boys hanging out. Especially if they have good friends who are good for each other and good influences, I don't mind so much. So happy it's March!
