Twelve

The past year has seen many triumphs.

She shone at her dance recital.

She pushed herself and tried out for a more visible role in Shakespeare.

She was awarded the "Hope of America" award at the end of 6th grade.

She's always loved and done well in school.

Babysitter and cousin extraordinaire 

Megan is moving on to Young Women's.

Now she'll get to go for real, instead of just visiting with her dad.

Megan has great friends who have been there for years!

She'd rather read than sleep.

She loves that she gets to wear makeup every day and not just at recitals.

Megan is a great sister.  She's an amazing example for her little sister.

My beautiful, smart, athletic, funny, creative, sensitive, kind, helpful, sweet, sassy, strong and unbelievable daughter turns 12 today.  

Happy Birthday to my wonderful daughter!  I am so grateful to be your mom.  You are utterly ready to become a young woman, and to prepare yourself for all of the amazing things that are coming in your life.
