$ Cha-ching!$

No, we are not getting a huge tax return.

No. The cha-ching is referring to the amount of money Bryson has lost us in the past week.

Tuesday, he stashed his backpack into a friend's locker during lunch and never hooked back up with him that day to get it out. When they went back in the morning, Oh yeah, his backpack was stolen. Gone. Not a trace.

Oh, and yeah, my IPOD was in it!!

Are you kidding me????

He had taken it to school because his math teacher lets them listen to music on Fridays, and he had never taken it out.

RRRRRAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!

Yes. Frustrated.

Then - as he was getting ready to leave Wednesday, he lifted his arms to fix his hair, and OOPS! His phone slipped out of his pocket and straight into the toilet.

Ni-ice. At least it was just water...

Yeah, his new phone that we had just replaced over conference weekend. Ruined. We tried everything. Putting it in a baggie of rice to absorb the moisture, letting it air out... Nothing. It's crazy psycho phone now and won't shut up unless you take the battery out.

So I go to the Verizon store today to look into replacing it. Uh-huh! It's a $200 phone!!!!!!!!! I had no idea! They had just given it to us to replace his other phone that kept dieing. No one said, "now this is a pricey phone, so you MAY want to consider insuring it..." I just assumed it was a cheepo phone since they were giving it to us free...

Great.

So we're up to about $400 worth of gadgets that this kid has been involved in us losing. In all fairness, he feels horrible about it all. And I know he feels totally violated that his stuff was stolen (not to mention the schoolwork he has to make up...), but just UGH! Really? It's so frustrating.

He's got a lot of babysitting to do to make it up!

And to top it all off, my stupid computer is about to die.

Stupid, stupid technology!

oh man! I can check Costco or Sam's for a phone, they usually have them cheaper then the store for the same phone, even Walmart has cheaper ones too.
Target has Nano's on sale right now. I know it's not the full fledged ipod but $55 bucks and a free $5 gift card, it'd make an easy/temporary replacement.

Good luck sweetie, sorry. Hopefully it makes you feel better that girls night is next week!!
