Oh What Fun It Is To Ride In A Two-Horse Open Wagon...

So yesterday kicked off a new tradition (I think).

My Aunt Tammie has 2 Clydesdale horses and a really cute wagon. Yesterday morning for their ward party, they had it out to do wagon rides - so she thought it would be really fun for our kids to get to go. And thus the barn party was born...

We had to brave a nasty little snowstorm to get there, but I knew how much Tammie had been looking forward to having all the kids up there, so despite my loathing of driving in snow (thank you 4wheel drive!!!) off we went...

We started out in my Aunt Julie's cool barn (they live across the street from each other) where we had hot chocolate and hot dogs and chips. The kids were having a blast climbing the hay bales and looking at the monstrous horses.

After eating, they hitched up the horses to the festive wagon and loaded us up. Apparently the horses are trained to only go when the riders sing (hey - that's what Uncle Jody said...), so we caroled our way through the neighborhood. We were all bundled up in blankets, so it was a really fun ride.

Unfortunately, Bryson had a basketball game, so I had to leave after my ride to get him there. But it was so much fun. My aunt was so excited about this party, and I so appreciate her putting it together.

See?! Doesn't she just look like the funnest Aunt ever?
Thanks Tam!!! It was so much fun!

I'm sure she'll really appreciate that picture!! Sorry we missed it! I didn't really think I should take my 9 month old out in the frieking cold...and snow. SO there you go. We all took naps instead. At noon? you ask...yes actually about 11!
