Wednesday Night is here. Deep breath. Halfway through another week! It always gives me hope that I'll survive to the weekend.
Isn't it funny how as adults & especially mothers we still look forward to the weekend - even though it doesn't mean much difference in our jobs, and in fact often makes them a little harder??? I mean, kids home ALL day, and husbands home (which, lets face it, often feels like having an extra kid around to entertain).... It's sad because in a lot of ways, our kids don't have the same giddy excitement about the weekends. They often have crammed schedules of games and certainly don't have Saturday Morning Cartoons to look forward to. Who needs those when there's Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon 24/7?
Wouldn't it be nice to go back for a while to that simpler time of being in your pajamas and having your cereal while watching cartoons on Saturday morning? Just kick back and revel in the freedom of the day (after Saturday work got done, of course)? The possibilities were endless.
