So, this was a fun weekend. It started on Thursday when Amy and the kids came over to play - I went and bought a teeny tiny pool for them to dip their toes in, and they had a great time playing outside all day.

Friday we started the day with John leaving at 6:30 am to help start cooking for the breakfast at the church. It was super yummy, and we had a great time visiting with friends. We left there around 10:30 so John could go meet with the attorney about his invention (i know, on the 4th! but this attny has been awesome about accommodating schedules). Then we went out to John's parents' house to talk more business and have a bbq for the 4th...

Then, fireworks! Is it just me, or did sparklers used to be way cooler? Stupid government safety regulations!!! The sparklers now are TINY and they are so whimpy! I swear they used to be so much more fun. But the kids still had fun anyway, and we made it without any burns.
the boxed fireworks were fun for the kids too. We missed Uncle Mike the Pyro.
It was a long day.

Saturday, we went to see Wall-E. The kids enjoyed it, I thought it was ok. Kinda slow at a lot of parts... but it made me want to get off the chair and go walking. John wasn't feeling very well, so we kinda had a lazy afternoon of naps.

Sunday was crazy again. We left the house just after 8am to get to Lindsay's baby blessing in Orem by 9, and left that meeting right after the blessing, because we had to get up to Daybreak for Brianna's baby blessing by 11am. Kinda crazy. We ended up at Joan's for food and visiting, and were there until 8:30pm. It was another LONG day. But really really fun. We are so lucky to have the priesthood, and the power to bless these little ones.
